With an estimated 31.7 million bloggers in the United States in 2020, it is quite clear that blogging is one of the most popular ways to share information online. That means that it's lucrative that companies have their own blogs now, and LiveGirl is no different. Especially in a non-profit such as this one, blogs are the perfect way to foster strong, friendly, and meaningful relationships with its audience members.

LiveGirl's blog can be easily found on the company's website under their "Resources" tab. The content found throughout their blog is very conversational, and covers a wide range of topics. From poetry, to politics, to letters, viewers can connect with LiveGirl on pretty much any level. Here are some screenshots of what a few of the blog titles look like.

Many different people contribute to LiveGirl's blog. Interns write many, (here's mine!) LiveGirls themselves write some, our CEO writes, and they even ask outside role models / celebrities to contribute to blogs once and a while. I think that the tone of this blog is perfect for the organization. They want girls to learn about the world around them, but also be fun and relatable. As LiveGirl consistently reiterates, they want to be role models for all girls. Everything they do should be with the intention of helping these girls develop their confidence and leadership skills. When girls, or anyone else read this blog, they should continue to feel inspired and educated, and I think LiveGirl's blog is successful in that aspect.

With that being said, educating and starting conversations through a blog can easily be boring if you don't have the right kind of "voice." Social networking is all about establishing emotional, meaningful connections. I mean, why else would you continue to follow people / brands for years on social media if you didn't feel any kind of connection to them? With blogs, there is no difference. If I take the time to read through a blog post, I want to feel like I'm having a conversation with a friend. That's what I love about LiveGirl's posts. Whenever I read them, I always feel less alone and stressed. A fantastic example was shown during the height of the pandemic. LiveGirl asked many of the interns and other student LiveGirl members to write a few blog posts about how COVID-19 has affected them and what they may have learned from it. These posts helped me to feel better during a time when I was feeling extremely alone and down on myself. Just knowing that other people my age were going through the same thing was a huge relief. I was able to bounce back stronger from that.

In order to further extend LiveGirl's brand through their blogs, I think that they can start by adding more multimedia to each individual post. Usually on their posts, they only include a picture at the beginning or the end of the person who wrote it. Although their blog posts are never too long, some supplemental pictures or GIFs that relate to the content in the post would be really helpful and might break up the big blocks of text a bit. LiveGirl's use of hyperlinks are really great. They're always linking relevant websites or social media handles for appropriate people. I think that the combination of these hyperlinks and more images and videos can really enhance this already successful blog page.
