How do you practice confidence in your everyday life? Join us in our #CreateYourConfidence Campaign, and register for LiveGirl's Confidence Club today!
In order to promote and raise more awareness for LiveGirl's extremely popular Confidence Club, I decided to launch a social media campaign that will take place for next year's sessions in 2022. According to Luttrell's PR campaign strategy model, R.O.P.E, I have created a strategic plan for how I want the #CreateYourConfidence campaign to go.
Research: The most successful club/event that LiveGirl hosts every year is Confidence Club. Some of the organization's most impressive statistics come from here, and it's proven to build girls' confidence significantly. According to the LiveGirl website, the mission of the Confidence Club is to "provide girls with a positive adult role model and create a safe space for girls to develop self-esteem and social emotional intelligence. Confidence Club is a facilitated discussion group that creates a brave space for girls." Hosting a social media campaign centered around becoming aware of what makes each of us confident and brave will only boost the effectiveness of this club.
Objective: My objective for this campaign is to advertise the Confidence Club and to get more girls to know about it and join it. This club has been active for several years now. Although the girls who are already heavily involved with LiveGirl's mission know about and utilize the Confidence Club, it hasn't really been heavily advertised on social media in a while. LiveGirl can use this opportunity to appeal to more people rather than just their regular, annual participants. Another objective of this campaign is to make girls aware of all the parts of themselves that are special and unique. I want girls to use the hashtag #CreateYourConfidence and show off any talent or skill that helps them feel confident in their daily lives. This can be anything from art, to performing, to writing, public speaking, etc. We all have our own gifts and talents, so when we create our own confidence, we can share these gifts with others and continue to change the world for the better.
Plan: Confidence Club runs for eight weeks, usually starting at the end of March, and finishes in the beginning of May. My plan therefore, is to create an eleven week campaign to promote the club. The first three weeks BEFORE the actual club start date will be crucial for encouraging last-minute registrations. As I said before, LiveGirl has a lot of loyal members, so many of the participants will already be registered. We just need to focus on appealing to girls who either have never heard of the program before, or who may still be on the fence about joining. An example of the first post announcing the campaign will look like this:

Caption: "Are you and artist? Do you sing? Dance? We would love to see how you #CreateYourConfidence and live bravely to encourage female empowerment, and help make the world a better place. Post your submissions on social media using the #CreateYourConfidence hashtag, or email us at livegirlofficial@gmail.com You'll even have a chance to be featured on our Instagram page! Let's get creative, and don't forget to sign up for Confidence Club. Link in bio for details."
After the first three weeks of the campaign, we can start to show off submissions of girls in the program who contribute to the hashtag. You can find a tentative content calendar here that I made to keep up with the posts, and I want to establish some kind of pattern through social media so that the viewers don't get bored or overwhelmed with the same kind of content. The pattern will include a blend of curated content, and originally created content. Although these images are also in the content calendar, I've added them here as well for a more clear view of some original content that I've created.

Once submissions start to go through on social media, we will engage with followers, and continue to boost girls' confidence socially. We'll do this by sharing the girls' posts, (with their permission of course!) and connecting and responding to reactions on the feed. A great way to show support and encouragement is through the use of GIFs such as the ones that I've scattered throughout this outline. I like to use pop-culture GIFs because it's a great way to connect with followers who might also enjoy those specific references. I love also using GIFs on Instagram stories because it adds a pop of animation to an otherwise still photo, and might make the follower stop and look at the post instead of just scrolling through. Videos will be a huge portion of the campaign as well, especially if girls submit performance based videos such as this one.
Videos are a great source of communication as well. Followers will love to come together, comment, and share videos such as these with their family and friends. This will greatly improve engagement within the LiveGirl community, as well as help to spread the word of the #CreateYourConfidence campaign.
Evaluation: Elements of the campaign will become talking points during the actual Confidence Club sessions. Members will be able to discuss the impact that "creating confidence" has on the world, and how we can use this creativity to become better leaders. Eventually, at the end of Confidence Club and the end of the campaign, I will send out a company-wide anonymous survey to help assess the effectiveness of #CreateYourConfidence.
My hope for this campaign is to give girls a platform to share what makes them happy. I want to encourage girls to live up to their true potential and take on the world by storm. Hopefully, this campaign will be successful, and it can be something that LiveGirl continues on with in the future as they expand their programs and events.
