If a company fails to utilize video and photo sharing in any aspect of their brand, then they simply will not succeed. "Scientifically speaking, it is well understood that when people read, they convert text into images and emotions. So it should not come as a surprise that when people receive information directly through images as opposed to text, the mind creates more connections intellectually and emotionally" (Luttrell 132). In order to reach more people effectively, photo and video sharing is a must.

With that being said, LiveGirl definitely uses photo and video frequently to develop their brand and mission. This content can be found through LiveGirl's Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts. Every photo and video seen throughout the organization's social media is very on brand with their mission and overall tone. As I've mentioned, LiveGirl is all about supporting young girls on their journey to self-discovery. Their photo sharing elements are very reflective of this idea.

As you can see in the photos above, LiveGirl is always highlighting the accomplishments of young women. Whether it be through showcasing girls' artwork, major educational milestones, or just giving an overall confidence boost, the organization is constantly providing positive influences for their audience through their use of images and video. This proves that the brand is dedicated to adhering to their mission, and supports their agenda.

Something I really love that was featured on LiveGirl's Instagram recently was their mini video series called "LiveGirl HERstory". This small campaign was posted originally in 2020, but continued more regularly during women's history month. It featured short 2-3 minute clips that highlighted significant female figures throughout our history. I loved that the videos were never too long. This helps keep viewers engaged and willing to watch the video fully without feeling like it's taking up too much of their time. I also loved that there was a constant flow of images throughout each of the videos, along with the narrator's voice. This gave the videos a documentary feel and helped foster retention because viewers were then able to associate images with what they were listening to. An example of one of the HERstory posts can be found here.

This specific series makes LiveGirl appear to be more professional, because they are committed to educating users about important leaders in history, and remaining consistent with their content. Staying focused and consistent on a campaign or series on social media can be difficult, but rewarding at the same time when done right. It shows that the organization is aware of maintaining the importance of their brand.

To further extend their brand, it would be amazing if LiveGirl shared more TikToks with us! I know they have used the platform a bit, but it would be really cool to see more TikToks shared through the "Reels" portion of the Instagram. This is a great way to get quick info out to viewers. some ideas for TikToks could be a a "Day in the Life" video, some kind of "Takeover" from the CEO, or even "How-To's." (How to be a more confident leader), etc. I would love to see more of this in the future!
